Yes Yes i know, it’s been a long time in the works but hey RL is a killer
this week i’ve realised we could minamise the number of links in to one container and then offer said container as one link, hand for me, handy for everybody else.
Now the technical bit, make sure you have the latest jdownloader installed, my web update wasn’t working correctly so i went and picked up the new version today, for those of you with out prem RS account you can still use Jdownloader it will just take a little longer, but the files wont go any where
So without further delay

BSB Round 5 Snetterton
BSB Round 6 Knockhill
Supersport will be up soon for both.
And a big thanks to the chaps over on RU who took hours out to record all the BSB coverage, i havent seen it available anywhere else other then here.

anybody else having trouble with the DLC files? i used to be able to load up all the links come back in a couple of days and it would be there. with this i am getting the first thing i loaded and then it just downloads a .dlc and no separate zips…
what am i doing wrong? FYI i don’t use reconnect because i am static and i do not have a premium account.

hmm see i’ve stuck the dlc’s on rs also, so you d/l those load them in to the latest version of Jdownloader, and it should then load up the rar’s for you, and away you go like normal, leave it run come back in a while and there all there downloaded ?
Are you using the latest version ? when you load the dlc file do you see the rar’s in the queue ?
Posted on July 8th, 2009 at 11:59 am
so we need to down load the dlc’s from RS and then load them in J DLer? with the old way i would just copy all of the link locations to J DLer and then it would get all the files.
i am using 0.6.193. if i load them all up in link grabber it will only show the first link as all the separate rar’s. the rest dont break down.

thanks 4 links!
Posted on July 8th, 2009 at 4:07 pm
pretty much yes, d/l the dlc, it’s tiny, double click it, jdownloader should open it for you, and then load the links for the files automatically, it’s basically a holder for the files
Posted on July 8th, 2009 at 4:08 pm
so i pulled the dlc’s from RS and then Drag Dropped into J DLer. that worked. if i tried to right click on your link and let it “auto grab” with the link grabber…that is when i was having an issue. it may have to do with the checking for a non premium user. it is already downloading something so when it checks (in the background) it probably gets the “you are already downloading” error. just a guess.

Cheers Drag, I’m having a terrible week and then you come along with all these wonderful goodies.
Also thanks to the kind folks at RU.
Trackday – if you are already downloading something from RS then that probably is the issue, but just in case;
1) double click on link
2) download
3) choose “open”
it should fire up jDownloader
4) press start (triangle in top left)
to the left of the title in the the main plane is a [-], click on it to see the individual files
5) Password = http://www.shiftkontrol.com
Posted on July 9th, 2009 at 4:13 am
Sorry, ignore steep 5), WP turned it into a link and added the htp bit. Look at Drags’ original post for password.

I think the DLC’s will be pretty handy in future, might see if we can host them here on the site, there only a few K in size ? that do you think tampa ?
Posted on July 9th, 2009 at 4:42 am
Mate I am dying here…. there is no way I can get this Jdownloader to work on my mac… Can we get the standard RS links oldschool styles [like last week] as well???
Posted on July 9th, 2009 at 6:45 am
hmmm what about emulation ?
I’m sure you can run a windows based os on a mac right, cant think of the name off hand, i’ve limited exp with mac’s im afriad.
Wait wtf is this ??

Drag, that would be cool to have the dlc’s on the site. then we could just download them from here and the program would grab the big stuff elsewhere. i don’t know how much bandwidth that would cost you, but taking RS out of the front side would be pretty sweet.
Thelostone, yea it was the “1 at a time” that was messing me up. J DLer was firing up the first download then going to check the rest. if i manually went to check the link on RS it said i was already pulling a file. no big deal.
P.S. thanks for all the watching enjoyment and for RU releasing the goods!!

on second thought…by having the dlc’s here, does that bring a legal issue into it?
Posted on July 9th, 2009 at 9:40 am
haveing the dlc here, might bring in legal issues, he said breaking the legal law, and we all know how RS fold on customers
Posted on July 9th, 2009 at 2:58 pm
I’m having real problems despite following the advice! Previously it was easy, right click on each link, save to clipboard, JDdownloader did everything else : downloaded the content then unrar it – perfect. This seems like a lot of messing about and do we really need the put a password on it?
DON’T GET ME WRONG I’M NOT REALLY COMPLAINING!! I’m clearly just stooopid and there must be an easier way here, can someone help me understand?!
Posted on July 9th, 2009 at 11:20 pm
toomanyb, i only had it work out when i went to the RS links in IE\FireFox and downloaded the links manually. they are small files. then i opened J DLer and dragged the .dlc files into it. it should then stack them up in link grabber. they should show all the separate parts under each package.
if i was already pulling a file from RS the links would bomb out and would not show all the separate .rar files. it would only show a .dlc file in the package. also if you are in your wait period for RS it messed up also.
hope some of that helps…
it worked in the end. once they loaded up…

Hi Toomanyb, we all start out as beginners getting confused (and a little annoyed) and so I wouldn’t call anybody stupid. I certainly had a little trouble at first, trying to use the old method of right click and copy, but with a little experimentation I found how to work it properly and it is in fact even easier than the old method. But the MAIN thing is that Drag finds it better for him, and as we all rely on his generosity I think we should work around his method.
Have you tried following the instructions in my earlier post?
Are you running the latest JDownloader?
Posted on July 10th, 2009 at 9:59 am
Follow the instructions and every thing shoudl work out ok, and dont be afraid to ask questions, we all started somewhere:D
The reason for the password is simple really, this is the only site bar RU who list the BSB races, and i simply dont want other stealing the links.
Do let us know where your getting stuck witht he DLc files toomanyb
Posted on July 10th, 2009 at 1:49 pm
Don’t get me wrong – not totally stupid. I downloaded the mac version from the site before my first comment. Then I downloaded your dlc file.
Problem is can’t run jdownloader at all – it has some kind of bug? It says I need a more up to date version of java and that updating my OS will solve the problem so I did that… Restarted my computer and then opening jdownloader again and…
It still says my java needs updating.
So I went directly to java downloaded their latest version for mac and then went to load it on my mac and it says ‘You don’t need this you already have our latest version on java’…
Shit.
Its not like I didn’t try?
Posted on July 11th, 2009 at 12:34 am
i hear ye mate, really i do, try and google around it’s prob not an uncommon problem, worst case you coudl install parrallels ?? is that what they call the Windows emulation software, you coudl run an XP os in the background and use jd on there ?
Posted on July 11th, 2009 at 8:09 am
Ok – I have spent all weekend trying to work out how to make this jD work – from my extensive research there seems to be no solution. The new version of jdownloader is filling forums with problems. They are not supporting older versions that may run for me and my computer cannot run the java 1.6 that they have speced for the new version. Small consolation that it is pissing off a lot of other people that cannot run their updated version…
Sad thing is that its all over for me – no more BSB [we can't even get it on pay TV in my country] and if you guys go this way with WSBK and the GP then I am truly screwed.
Thanks for the good times though I appreciate being able to get all this stuff to this point. You guys did good work.
Everyone ride safe and enjoy the second half of the season!

Serious issues!!
1. I right click and c”copy link location” – it puts em all into JD downloader.
2. I select them all and then right click, I then add the password for them all.
3. I click on the arrow thing as suggested at top left of screen
3. I thern get a combination of “file already exists” and “online > Aborted” (although where they eist is a mystery to me!!)
4. I then kick the dog and go to bed after another night wasted!!
There has to be a better way – even MU was better than this!
I clearly need the 12 yr olds instructions if someone can be arsed to lay it out for me!!
Posted on July 12th, 2009 at 12:46 am
Hi Toomanyb, DON’T right click and copy, instead:
1) double left click on the link
this will take you to RS
2) choose either free user or premium as appropriate
3) download
4) choose “open”
JDownloader should then open
5) press start (triangle in top left)
to the left of the title in the the main plane is a [-], click on it to see the individual parts
6) when all the parts have downloaded JDownloader will automatically unrar them and ask you for the password
Posted on July 12th, 2009 at 7:59 am
Hi again, it may be a good idea to clear JDownloader first. So start JDownloader and delete everything in the downloads and linkgrabber sections before following the above instructions.
Posted on July 12th, 2009 at 8:02 am
Oh, and also the JDownloader downloads folder.
Sorry and taking three posts but last night was a late one and I’ve only just woken up.
Posted on July 12th, 2009 at 8:04 am
Yet another thought (I really should make sure I’m awake before starting this sort of thing).
It may be a good idea to clear your copy/paste buffer first. How? I don’t know, other than restarting your pc, or copying a blank section.
So;
a) make sure copy/paste buffer is empty
b) start JDownloader and clear “downloads” and “linkgrabber” sections. Close JD and check JDownloader downloads folder for partial files
c) follow instruction in my post no.23 above
Now time for a cup of tea and see if I can wake up. lol

Hi Bodge, I just did a quick Google search and found this:
http://jdownloader.en.softonic.com/
scroll down and you will see older versions (0.3.262 definatly downloads) and there are probadly others out there.
Just remember; disconnect your internet BEFORE the first time you run it so that you can disable updates
Posted on July 12th, 2009 at 8:59 am
Alas that looks like a Windows version… Unless I am completely reading it wrong – I tried to search mac versions on their site and they only have the one current version….
Cheers Thelostone – So close.
Posted on July 13th, 2009 at 12:37 am
OK Found an older version here for you mac users – http://www.mechodownload.com/forum/macintosh-programs/175615-jdownloader-0-5-917-final.html
But hell – been trying to get it working and unfortunately just too effin hard? This is supposed to make life easier right?
Rather be out riding my SuperDuke.
Tell me again why this is so much better than just posting the RS links? I am having trouble working out how this software is improving my life???
Posted on July 13th, 2009 at 1:03 am
Thelostone thanks for your help – i have managed to get the files and unrar them etc – FINALLY. IT didnt unrar them automatically, I had to do it manually though…
I am grateful for the files, but have to agree with Bodge this is a lot more work to get these…but, given the choice, I’d rather have it this way than Drag lose interest in uploading this stuff cos tts too much trouble for him!
Posted on July 13th, 2009 at 10:56 am
Good man toomanyb, not sure why it didnt unrar for you.
Bodge it’s easier mainly as posting links is a pain in the face, 1 link and away we go, however that said, i’ll see what i can do to help ye out
Posted on July 13th, 2009 at 4:09 pm
dude can we use megaupload???? there is no waiting between files
Posted on July 13th, 2009 at 5:56 pm
Hey Drag,
I don’t mind how you post your files here…just keep doing it!
Great stuff!
Posted on July 14th, 2009 at 12:12 pm
dee, as much as i’d love to upload to MS also, i dont think it’s going to be really possible, but i’ll take a look and see if i can rig something up ok
Ok i’ve taken a look, i can do a remote RS to MS upload, but i need a premium account on MS, which cost the old €€€€ so unless somebody is willing to give me there prem account details i dont see it happening
Posted on July 15th, 2009 at 5:51 am
Drag and Thelo – please don’t take my frustration as criticism.
I am very grateful that you guys do this at all and its not like I we are paying customers!
I have enjoyed what you guys have created here to date and will continue to hang around an make use of it if I can.
