I may just be technically challenged, but how do you string these races together once they're dl'd? I'm on a mac. Do I need to rename them with anything?

Mac. Hmmm.

I don't have a Mac to see how the Mac versions / ports of 7 zip archivers work.

Try http://www.7-zip.org/download.html, http://p7zip.sourceforge.net, http://www.zipeg.com, http://download.cnet.com/The-U…..55313.html etc.

Is there not an archive / un-archive utility in the Mac OS? Stuffit?

With 7-zip all one does is open the first (.001) archive in the series and uncompress / extract to whatever location is desired for the complete file. It's a simple right click on the file operation in Windows – no re-naming involved at all.
